ليش يهمك
الـ W27 ما بينزل بالخليج رسمياً، لكنه يوصل عندنا سنوياً عبر محلات الجوالات المستوردة بدبي والكويت بأسعار تتجاوز 12 ألف درهم. الأهم للمشتري عندنا: هذا أول Fold من سامسونج باتصال أقمار صناعية مباشر — الميزة اللي أبل تسوّق فيها iPhone Duo — ولو شفناها بالنسخة الصينية فقط، فالعتاد جاهز والقرار عند سامسونج تفعّلها عالمياً مع S27 أو لا.
رأيي
خارج الصين الـ W27 جهاز للمعرض مو للجيب: نفس الهاتف اللي تاخذه باسم Fold8 Ultra بأقل من النص، والفرق ذهب وشاحن بالعلبة. لكن سامسونج تبيع بالصين ميزة (الأقمار الصناعية) ما تبيعها لنا، وهذا اللي يستاهل الزعل عليه، مو اللون.
Every year Samsung takes its best foldable, dresses it in gold and sells it in China under the W name. This year it is the W27: essentially a Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra with a gold frame, hinge and camera island, a red-and-blue dual-tone design and the gold “Heart to the World” emblem on the back. It costs CNY 18,999 (≈ $2,850 / AED 9,850) for 16/512GB and CNY 21,999 (≈ AED 11,400) for 1TB, and is on sale now at Samsung’s China store.

Why it matters
The W27 will not launch officially in the Gulf, but it reaches us every year through grey-import phone shops in Dubai and Kuwait at prices above AED 12,000. The part that matters for buyers here: this is Samsung’s first Fold with direct satellite connectivity, the feature Apple is marketing on the iPhone Duo. Even if we only see it on the China edition, the hardware is ready and it is Samsung’s decision whether to switch it on globally with the S27.
My take
Outside China the W27 is a showcase piece, not a purchase: the same phone you can buy as the Fold8 Ultra for less than half, with gold and a charger in the box as the difference. But Samsung sells China a feature (satellite) that it does not sell us, and that is the part worth being annoyed about, not the colour.
