A month after the China launch, vivo announced the global rollout of the X500 series yesterday: Europe gets the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max only, while the standard X500 goes to Southeast Asia (Malaysia from MYR 4,699). European prices: the Pro at €1,299 for 12/256GB and €1,449 for 512GB; the Pro Max from €1,499 for 12/256GB up to €2,199 for the 1TB model with the photography kit. Sales start November 5, and pre-registering before then earns a €120 voucher.
Specs
| X500 Pro | X500 Pro Max | |

| Main camera | 50MP, 1/1.28-inch sensor, ZEISS T* | |
| Telephoto | 50MP Sony LYT-610 APO periscope, 3.5x | 200MP Samsung HP0 APO periscope, 3.5x |
| Battery (global) | 6,510 mAh | 7,800 mAh (China: 8,000) |
| Charging | 90W wired, 40W wireless | |
| Rating | IP68 / IP69 | |
| Europe price | €1,299 / €1,449 | €1,499 to €2,199 |
| China price | from 6,499 yuan | from 6,999 yuan |
One note from GSMArena’s European unit: the Pro ships without a charger (cable only), with the 90W charger reserved for the Pro Max. The Pro Max battery is 200 mAh smaller than the Chinese version because of European shipping rules, the same thing that hit Xiaomi.
Why it matters
vivo previewed the X500 series at its "Autumn Reveal" in Dubai last week without a price or date, the vivo UAE page lists the Pro Max as "coming soon", and both phones have already passed UAE TDRA certification, so the Gulf is in the next wave. A straight conversion of €1,299 is about AED 5,500, but vivo usually prices below Europe in the Gulf (the V80 is AED 2,599, for example); that is my estimate, not an official figure. And the 6.36-inch Pro is the compact flagship our market has been missing.
My take
The Pro Max with its 200MP APO telephoto is the strongest "camera phone of the year" candidate, but €1,499 puts it face to face with the Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 18 Pro, and that is where vivo needs a bold Gulf price rather than a translation of the European one. If you plan to buy, do not import from Europe: wait for the official local version, which is usually cheaper and carries a local warranty, and the missing 200 mAh will not matter.
