A full month after One UI 9 started reaching the Galaxy S26, here is Samsung’s first official list of the devices that will get it: Samsung Japan published an October–November schedule, reported by 9to5Google and Android Headlines. The list is Japan-first, but the devices are global, and the difference is usually weeks rather than models. The same day, according to Droid Life’s tracker, the stable update began reaching the Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 in the US, meaning Samsung has largely finished its top-tier devices.

The list (October–November per Samsung Japan)

The list is incomplete: it omits the Plus models of the S25, S24 and S23 series (some of which have already been updated in the US) and many Galaxy A devices that Samsung Japan does not sell. 9to5Google expects budget devices and the remaining markets to follow between December and January.

Why it matters

In the Gulf, the international variants (model numbers ending in B/E) usually receive updates one to three weeks after Korea and the US, so if you own an S23 or Fold5, expect One UI 9 before the end of November. More important for anyone with an A54, A25 or Tab S9: you are officially on the list, and this is the first time Samsung has confirmed it. And if you have an S22 or Fold4, stop waiting: those devices have moved to quarterly security updates and are not on the list.

My take

One UI 9 reaching the S23 five weeks after the S26 is the fastest schedule I have seen from Samsung for a three-year-old generation, and that, more than any battery, is the real difference between it and the Chinese brands. But publishing the list through the Japanese branch instead of a global announcement leaves Gulf users guessing again, something Samsung could fix with a single page.
