After the foldable Magic V6, HONOR returns to the regular flagship: the Magic9, launching in China on 28 September (confirmed by HONOR on Weibo, with pre-orders open there). Here is what we know officially — and what we do not.

Why it matters to us in the Gulf
HONOR is one of the fastest Chinese companies to reach the UAE and Saudi Arabia — the Magic V6 arrived officially within weeks of its global launch, and the Magic7 Pro was one of the best-selling Chinese flagships in our markets. If the Magic9 Pro comes with this 200MP telephoto at a price below the S26 Ultra and iPhone 18 Pro Max, it will be the most important camera phone of the year's end.
What I am waiting for from the event
Three numbers: the Pro's price in China, the actual battery capacity, and whether the Pro Max's inner display has a real upgrade or is the same as the Magic7. On 28 September we will update this article with the official numbers — and the review as soon as the device reaches the UAE.
