رأيي بعد الحدث
18 Pro بسعر ما تغيّر وكاميرا تغيّرت فعلاً = أسهل ترقية من سنين لأي أحد على 15 Pro أو أقدم. الـ Duo جهاز جيل أول بسعر $1,999 وبدون كاميرا تقريب حقيقية ولا Face ID — يستاهل الفرجة والتجربة، مو يستاهل يكون تلفونك الأساسي قبل الجيل الثاني. واللي كان ناوي على 17 Pro: انتهى، انشال من المتجر.
An hour and ten minutes, the first event presented by John Ternus as CEO. The leaks got the shape right and the name and price wrong: the foldable is called iPhone Duo, not Ultra, and the 18 Pro did not go up by the $100–$300 they said. The most important note among all the specs: both displays have the same aspect ratio. The app you open folded continues open without its layout breaking — the problem Android foldables lived with for years. Second: Touch ID is back. Not a step back, a matter of space.

The variable aperture is the first iPhone camera change in years that deserves the word "new". Depth of field now comes from the glass, not the algorithm, which is what Chinese companies have been bragging about since 2024. And the feature that will become a talking point: Apple Reference Image — the sensor signs every pixel so you can prove a photo is real, not generated.

My take after the event
An 18 Pro at an unchanged price with a camera that actually changed = the easiest upgrade in years for anyone on a 15 Pro or older. The Duo is a first-generation device at $1,999 with no real telephoto and no Face ID — worth watching and trying, not worth being your main phone before the second generation. And anyone who was planning on a 17 Pro: over, it is gone from the store.
