Why it matters in the Gulf
This is the first time RedMagic has published AED and SAR prices on day one with direct sales in the UAE. AED 3,499 for a Gen 6 chip and an 8,400mAh battery undercuts every flagship on the same silicon this year, but note three things: charging is 80W rather than China’s 120W, the global base model has less RAM (12GB), and the update policy is only two years. The fan also means ordinary cases will not fit and dust is more of a concern than on a sealed phone, IP69 rating or not.
My take
9to5Google’s review, published the same day, tells the story: a locked 60fps in Monster Hunter Outlanders for over an hour, only 10% battery used, and a peak of 50°C. As a gaming device nothing competes at this price. But if you want a respectable camera or long software support, this is not your phone; RedMagic sells performance, not longevity. If you are buying, the November 12 Early Bird voucher gets you the charger free, which matters more than any discount.
