The big-battery race has a new number. Xiaomi announced the Redmi K100 in China with a 10,000mAh battery, double most flagships, alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite (last year’s flagship chip) and a 165Hz display, starting at CNY 3,499 (about $525). It is on sale in China now through Xiaomi’s store.

Why it matters
The Redmi K series is not sold officially in the Gulf, but historically it reaches us as a POCO F, and Beebom expects the K100 to go global as the POCO F9, which is unconfirmed by Xiaomi. If it happens, POCO F pricing in the UAE usually lands around AED 1,700–2,000, which would make a "two-day flagship" real at that price. Note that the 27W reverse wired charging can top up your earbuds or watch, but there is no wireless charging at all.
My take
A 10,000mAh battery in a normal-thickness phone was fantasy a year ago, and today Redmi does it for CNY 3,499. The compromises are clear: last year’s chip, an 8MP ultrawide, no telephoto and no wireless charging. But for a creator shooting all day, or a traveller, the battery outweighs all of it. If the POCO F9 arrives with the same battery under AED 2,000, it will be the best value on the market, and I would wait for it rather than import from China.
