| Galaxy S27 Pro | Galaxy S27 Ultra | Galaxy S26 Ultra (للمقارنة) | |
|---|---|---|---|

Days after the report that the Galaxy S27 returns to January, here is the first look at a real part of it: the S27 Ultra and S27 Pro batteries have appeared in the Safety Korea database with photos, per Notebookcheck and GSMArena. The models are EB-BS958DBY (matching SM-S958, the Ultra) and EB-BS957CBY (SM-S957, the Pro), manufactured by China’s Zhuhai CosMX Power.

The numbers
| Galaxy S27 Pro | Galaxy S27 Ultra | Galaxy S26 Ultra (for comparison) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battery model | EB-BS957CBY | EB-BS958DBY | — |
| Rated capacity (3C) | 5,087mAh | 5,534mAh | — |
| Estimated typical capacity | About 5,200mAh | About 5,700mAh | 5,000mAh |
| Wired charging | 60W | 60W | 60W |
| Status | Pre-production samples; final capacity unconfirmed, and Samsung has announced nothing | ||
The photos themselves do not show the capacities legibly; the figures come from the Chinese 3C certification issued in September, and the “typical” capacity is the usual estimate of about 3–4% above the rated number. GSMArena notes Samsung reportedly tested a 7,000mAh prototype for the Ultra before backing off to keep the S Pen. One more caveat: “S27 Pro” is the name circulating for the smaller model (SM-S957); there is no official confirmation of the naming.
Why it matters
The Galaxy S Ultra is the most common Android flagship in the Gulf, and its 5,000mAh battery had become the smallest among its Chinese rivals (the Find X10 Pro Max is 7,150mAh in Europe, for one). A 14% jump for the Ultra is the first real increase in years, but 60W charging means you will not feel a difference in speed. And if January holds, Samsung launches before the iPhone Duo reaches us in normal quantities, timing it will not want to waste.
My take
5,700mAh with an S Pen is a better compromise than 7,000 without one for Ultra buyers, and Samsung chose correctly. What I do not understand is sticking with 60W for a third year while the Chinese are at 80–100. A bigger battery on the same charger means a longer charge time, and that is the number I want to see change before January.
