التسريب يقول "ترقية هادئة"، وهذا بالضبط اللي أبيه من Huawei: الشكل والكاميرات ممتازة أصلاً، والمشكلة الحقيقية بالخليج كانت البطارية والأداء مع HarmonyOS بدون خدمات Google. البطارية انحلّت على الورق، وKirin 9050 بنشوف قدّيش يقرّب من Snapdragon. أما شاشة الخصوصية فهي ميزة Samsung حطتها بـS26 Ultra وHuawei تنسخها بذكاء على جهاز يُفتح بالطيارة والمقهى — بس أبي أعرف تشتغل على الشاشة الكبيرة ولا بس الخارجية.

Huawei is expected to announce the Mate X8 next month, and weeks ahead of that its spec sheet has surfaced almost in full from the Chinese tipster 白泽观山海 on Weibo, relayed by GSMArena, Notebookcheck and Gizmochina. The short version: everything got a little bigger, screens, battery and chip, with no change to the overall design. Every number below is unconfirmed until Huawei says otherwise.

The Mate X7 was announced on November 25, 2025 from CNY 12,999 in China, so a November slot for the X8 makes sense. Prices and markets have not leaked.
Why it matters
Huawei takes the Gulf seriously with foldables: the Mate X6 had its global launch in Dubai, and the Mate X7 reached our markets after China. If the pattern repeats, the Mate X8 likely lands here in early 2027 as the first serious Gulf rival to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and iPhone Duo with a 6,000mAh+ battery, a number neither Samsung nor Apple has reached in a foldable. If you are eyeing a Fold 8 right now, it is worth waiting a month to see the price.
My take
The leak reads like a quiet upgrade, and that is exactly what I want from Huawei: the design and cameras were already excellent, and the real Gulf problem was battery and performance on HarmonyOS without Google services. Battery is solved on paper, and we will see how close Kirin 9050 gets to Snapdragon. The Privacy Display is a feature Samsung put on the S26 Ultra, and Huawei copying it onto a device you open on planes and in cafés is smart, but I want to know whether it works on the big screen or only the outer one.
