Xiaomi 18 Pro.

Weeks after the Redmi K100 Pro, it is the turn of the smaller sibling that is arguably the bigger deal: the Redmi K100 with a 10,000mAh battery, the largest yet in a phone with a flagship Snapdragon. Redmi confirmed the date on Weibo on Monday and opened pre-orders in China, with the open-ear Redmi Clip Neo earbuds launching alongside. One caveat: GSMArena reports October 28, while Gizmochina and 91mobiles say October 27, a one-day gap most likely down to the event timing.

Why it matters
The Redmi K series is not sold officially in the Gulf, but historically it goes global as a POCO F (the K80 became the POCO F7 Pro), and POCO sells in the UAE and Saudi Arabia through its own store, noon and Amazon. If the pattern repeats, the K100 is the candidate for a POCO F8 Pro in early 2027, which is unconfirmed. A 10,000mAh battery means two real days in a Gulf summer, but it also means more weight and thickness, and the same air-freight limits for the global version that just hit the Xiaomi 18 Pro.
My take
Redmi paired the headline number (10,000mAh) with last year’s chip, and that is the right call: the Snapdragon 8 Elite is still faster than most upper-midrange phones, and only people gaming at maximum settings will feel the gap to Gen 6. The real question is not the specs but whether the global version keeps the 10,000mAh or drops to 7,000 to 8,000 like every 2026 flagship. If it keeps it under AED 2,000, this is the student and travel phone of the Gulf next year.
