The OnePlus 16 is official in China, on sale October 31: the biggest battery in a OnePlus flagship (9,000mAh) and a screen that hits 185Hz in games.
| Display | 6.78in LTPO OLED, 1.5K, 165Hz (185Hz in games) |
|---|---|
| Chip | Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 (2nm) |
| Cameras | 200MP main (1/1.4in) + 50MP 3x tele + 50MP ultrawide · 50MP selfie |
| Battery | 9,000mAh · 100W wired, 50W wireless |
| China price | 12/256: CNY 5,999 (~AED 3,300) · 12/512: 6,799 · 16/512: 7,499 · 16GB/1TB: CNY 8,499 (~AED 4,660) |
Why it matters
OnePlus has stopped launching new products in North America and Europe, and the 16 is China-only for now. The OnePlus UAE site still lists only the OnePlus 15, so importing is the realistic route (mind warranty and Chinese software). AED figures are straight conversions without VAT.
My take
On paper one of the strongest phones of the year from under AED 3,300, and that stings: the best OnePlus in years may never officially reach us.
